Duet Melodies Arrangements

DM: Duet Melodies Series Initially, my Duet Melodies Series was going to focus exclusively on violin duets, forming what I termed my Duet Melodies For Violin Series. For this Series, as with almost all of my music projects, things evolve over time, and the number of volumes increased…from four to five to the eventual six volumes of violin duets; please see Duet Melodies For Violin Series, Bound Physical Books. And at long last, I am happy to announce, that with the publication of Sonata Melodies, Six Sonatas by G. F. Handel, Arranged and Edited by Martha J. Yasuda, my Duet Melodies For Violin Series is finally finis! Yahoo!

While writing these violin duets, I wondered how the arrangements would sound if I transcribed the second violin part for the viola. After reading some of them through with my good friend, Tracy Shealy, who teaches violin and viola with the North Atlanta Talent Education (N.A.T.E.), we decided that this idea was a definite GO!! Thus was born the Duet Melodies For Violin and Viola Series. Please see Duet Melodies For Violin and Viola Series, Bound Physical Books. Arrangements for two violas will also soon be available.

I anticipate in the near future that there will be other instrument combinations; in particular, the Duet Melodies For Violin and Cello Series is something that I am very excited about. I have edited these arrangements quite a bit and look forward to sharing them with you in the Spring of 2012!

All of these various instrument combinations now make up my Duet Melodies Series…a Series that certainly has expanded from its original scope.
