Christmas Melodies: Double Stop Solos and Duets For Viola, Volume I, Bound Physical Books (No PDF Downloads Currently Available)

This Volume is an excellent way to introduce viola students to the magical world of double stops! (Please read the Foreword by William Preucil, Sr. by clicking the Forewords Button located here or at the top of the navigation bar on the Home Page.) The student plays a duet with their teacher of a Christmas Carol. After playing the duet, the student goes immediately to the double stop solo, where the same, identical notes written in the duet are rewritten for just one player.

This Volume is written for students in late book three to early book four of Suzuki or for traditional students studying perhaps Seitz or Telemann concerti. There are lots of octaves with open strings, thirds without 4th fingers and both major and minor sixths.
